CASHA is an ASHA Continuing Education Provider!

An annual ASHA CE Registry fee is required to register ASHA CEUs. ASHA CE Registry fees are paid by the participant directly to the ASHA National Office. The annual ASHA CE Registry fee allows registration of an unlimited number of ASHA CEUs for the calendar year. Contact the ASHA CE staff at 800-498-2071, ext. 4219 for CE Registry fee subscription information.

Please see the calendar page for more information regarding these events!

CASHA provides program meetings and workshops for members to earn continuing education for ASHA CEUs and NYS hours.

Some members attend meetings and workshops but do not return the necessary paperwork.  These members may not be ASHA members and/or choose to keep track of their own hours for ASHA and NYS.  CASHA retains records for program meetings and workshops for 7 years.  If you attend a meeting and do not return the necessary paperwork, it is important that you indicate “no” on the sign in sheet in the two columns requesting ASHA hours and NYS hours as well as check the third column that you plan to retain your own records.

Some members attend meetings and workshops and are not eligible to earn ASHA CEUs.

Effective July 1, 2011, individuals must meet at least one of the following conditions in order to be eligible to earn ASHA CEUs.

· ASHA Member (includes Life member and International affiliates)

· ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) Holder

· Licensed by a state or provincial regulatory agency to practice speech-language pathology (SLP) or audiology

· Credentialed by a state regulatory agency to practice SLP or audiology

· Credentialed by a national regulatory agency to practice SLP or audiology

· Engaged in a Clinical Fellowship under the supervision of an individual with their ASHA CCC

· Currently enrolled in a masters or doctoral program in SLP or audiology

As of July 1, 2011, if ASHA receives an ASHA CEU Participant form for an attendee who is not in their database as an "eligible" Registry user, they ask the person to provide documentation of eligibility prior to awarding ASHA CEUs.

PLEASE DO NOT RETURN AN ASHA BUBBLE SHEET IF YOU DO NOT MEET THE ONE OF THE ABOVE CONDITIONS.

Thank you and we look forward to seeing you at the next scheduled program meeting!

Deidre M. Convery-Bernard, CE Administrator

ASHA CEUs are determined by the Learning Outcomes for each Program Meeting and Workshop.  The CE Registry transcript includes a description that highlights the course's learning outcomes.  In order to meet the course's learning outcomes, participants will need full attendance at the monthly Program Meetings and full day Workshops.

Program Completion Requirements: Participants are expected to be present for the entire program. Individuals who are not present for the full program will not be recommended for ASHA CEUs. No partial credit will be provided.
